With their perpetually smiling face and heartwarming affection, the cavalier is sure to win your heart from the first meeting. Size is normally 12-20 lb and they have 4 distinct coat color patterns. Ruby, which is a deep red; blenheim, which is simply a fancy word for red and white; Black and tan; and tri-color, which is black and tan with white markings. They are considered medium shedding and have a fairly low maintenance coat, periodic brushing and light trimming should be sufficient. The cavalier is an AKC-recognized pure breed and has gained immense popularity in recent years because of their devoted, loyal personality. Hanging out in the house and going for occasional walks are secondary to the cavaliers intense desire to be with humans and enjoying their presence as much as possible!
